API’s inventory management services extend to cover products removed from aircraft, as well as those destined to be placed on aircraft. These reverse logistics situations typically revolve around either high-value components in need of repair, overhaul, or recertification; or items against which a warranty claim will be made. API manages repair vendors and cycle times for all of these situations. For each category, API carefully tracks the timeliness of rotables processing and communicates expectations to customers and vendors.
